چکیده

In this paper, the attenuation coefficients of X-rays for a range voltages (20-35) kV were studied copper-based alloys (Cu + 0.05 AL 0.03 Ti) according to order (A1,A2,A3,A4,A5),by adding percentages silver (X=1,2,3,4,5)% with two particle sizes (Nano) and (Micro) alloy ( Cu92-x +5%Al +3%Ti+ Ag x) orders (B1,B2,B3,B4,B5) (C1,C2,C3,C4,C5) All sintered at (9000C) period (4) hours. The results showed direct relationship between coefficient compression pressure. At operating voltage (20Kv), linear was increased (53.6%) mass (53.8%), hardness by (45%) porosity decreased (18%) when comparing Alloy (A1). (A5), respectively, it also found that is addition, as noticed (34.5%) (34%) (B1) (B5), increase By (33.9%) (33.5%) (C1) (C5), has (33.4%) (32.2%) average values from (B5) C1) (C5) (37.6%) (31%), respectively. The inversely proportional voltage, (20%) (20Kv) (35Kv) (26.4%) (C5).

Radiation attenuation properties of shields containing micro and Nano WO3 in diagnostic X-ray energy range

Background: It has recently been shown that the particle size of materials used for radiation shielding can affect the magnitude of radiation attenuation. Over the past years, application of nano-structured materials in radiation shielding has attracted attention world-wide. The purpose of this study was to investigate the shielding properties of the lead-free shields containing micro and nano-...

Measurement of the X-ray mass attenuation coefficients of silver in the 5-20 keV range.

The X-ray mass attenuation coefficients of silver were measured in the energy range 5-20 keV with an accuracy of 0.01-0.2% on a relative scale down to 5.3 keV, and of 0.09-1.22% on an absolute scale to 5.0 keV. This analysis confirms that with careful choice of foil thickness and careful correction for systematics, especially including harmonic contents at lower energies, the X-ray attenuation ...
